Punxsutawney Phil predicts Spring is coming early

Saturday, February 2nd, 2013

Not only does the groundhog  predict an early spring, so does the early buds on our flowering plants.

It may be early but there is plenty to do and it is never too early to book a stay.

Our new downtown food scene qualified for inclusion in  an article in the November issue of Food and Wine Magazine.

Then there is the new Korean pop-up at Pat’s Diner.  Check out their reviews.

Hi Five, Guerneville, CA

How perfectly does that go together.

We have several good music venues too.  Jerry Knight’s River Theatre and Main Street Pizza to name a few host really good entertainment as does the Rio Nido Road House.

Hope to see you at the River.

Don’t forget Earthday April 22nd.

IT’S NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION TIME. ARE YOU READY?

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

The New Year is rapidly approaching and if you haven’t made your list of New Year’s Resolutions, why not add a trip to the river and a few nights at Creekside to your list.  To help you do this we are offering the third night free over the Martin Luther King Day weekend, just go to our reservation page, select the three day weekend and enter MLK  in the promo code box.   It is the weekend of the Wineroad’s Winter Wineland, which is an annual 2 day event where you can meet the winemaker and taste library wines.

Now for Porter-Bass Winery…

If that is not your speed, we have discovered a fabulous winery less than 4 miles from here that provides tastings by appointment only and has some fabulous wines.

We were lucky enough to hear about Porter-Bass Winery from some guests and then made an appointment for a tasting and were delighted to meet the winemaker, Luke Bass, his wife and son.  The operation is a multi-generational family run, biodynamic and beautiful.

If you still have energy on Saturday night check out the Russian River Sisters Bingo.

Remember, the third night is free if you book over the Martin Luther King holiday.  Just enter the promo code MLK
